Chapter Text
The air in Jeer's Bar was thick with the scent of stale beer and desperation. Emma, a Duel Links NPC with a perpetually annoyed expression, scowled at Mickey, another NPC, whose overly enthusiastic 'wicked awesome' comment had somehow managed to make her blood pressure rise.
'Stop it, you're retarded!' Emma snapped, her voice sharp enough to cut through the din.
'No, you are...' Mickey started, but his comeback was cut short by a loud *thwack* as a tennis ball slammed into his chest, knocking him flat.
From the rooftop, a figure with a wild grin leaned over the edge, holding a modified tennis ball gun. It was Bam Margera, his trademark mischievous glint in his eyes.
'Nice catch, dumbass,' Bam chuckled, his voice echoing down. 'Just doing that chick a favor, y'know?'
Dan Kuso, standing beside Yuya Sakaki, was visibly uncomfortable. 'You're retarded!' he echoed, his voice barely a whisper.
Yuya, oblivious to the tension, grinned widely. 'Hey! Check it out! The first stage of the competition is over and... Leading by 50 points is... My Team!'
A roar of cheers erupted from the crowd below. Shun, Marucho, Runo, Julie, Alice, Zuzu, Allie, Gong, Sora, Sylvio, Aura – even the usually stoic Dan Kuso – all joined in, their excitement palpable.
Suddenly, a deafening roar echoed across the pier. It was Paulie, his wheelchair speeding down the boardwalk, a large wooden box carrying a terrified Nick, another Duel Links NPC, perched precariously on top.
'Oh yeah... Look out,' Paulie bellowed, his voice thick with exaggerated bravado. 'Pooper coming through! Please keep your hands inside the porta potty while you... TAKE A DRINK! BITCH!'
With a sickening lurch, Paulie steered his wheelchair and the box towards the ocean, dumping Nick overboard with a splash.
'Ahhhh!' Nick screamed, disappearing beneath the waves.
Back on the rooftop, Bam was ecstatic. 'That was awesome! Gimmie that bag!' He snatched a piece of paper containing the details of the first stage from a nearby courier. 'Launch a loca! That's 100 points, slackers, and that's a win for us!'
He waved the paper dismissively, a cruel smile playing on his lips. 'Which also means it's time for you losers to face... THE WHEEL OF FOOGIES!'
Phil, perched on his massive, ominous 'Wheel of Foodies,' a contraption designed to eliminate the losers from the tournament, emerged with a sinister grin.
'Phil, why don't you do the honors, Fat Boy!' Bam cackled, his manic energy infectious.
Phil rolled a 'Wheel of Foodies,' Bam throws a dart gun and...
In a tense atmosphere, Phil, the team leader, gave the order, 'Cut One Loose!' The words hung heavy in the air as the team members looked around at each other nervously, knowing that one of them would have to leave.
Yuya, who was a part of the team, spoke up, 'Ouch. That means one of us is going home.' His words were filled with sadness, and his teammates couldn't help but feel the weight of his disappointment.
Dan, another teammate, gasped at the reality of the situation, while Bam, the group's organizer, called for everyone to gather around. 'Yuya's team, circle up around and let's see who's getting the boot,' Bam announced.
Dan, Shun, Marucho, Runo, Julie, Alice, Yuya, Zuzu, Allie, Gong (team captain), Sora, Sylvio, and Aura all gathered around the tennis ball gun with Bam, waiting in anticipation for their fate.
Bam, with a mischievous grin on his face, said, 'if I leave our soon to be departed skater with just one final word would be... FIRE IN THE HOLE!'
Bam pressed the tennis ball gun, and it spun around, firing a tennis ball in Shun's direction, striking him right on his genitals. With a yelp, Shun fell to the ground, and his teammates rushed to his side in concern.
'SHUN!' they all cried out, but it was too late. The decision had been made, and Shun was eliminated from the team.
Eric Sparrow, who was watching from the sidelines, couldn't help but laugh at the situation. 'That's too bad, Shun,' Bam said, 'So Long!'
With a heavy heart, the team bid farewell to their fallen comrade, but they knew they couldn't dwell on it for too long. 'Everyone else, let's hit it. We're Heading to Spain!' Bam announced.
As they set off on their journey, Shun's departure was a constant reminder of the challenges they would face as a team. But they knew they had to keep moving forward, one step at a time, to achieve their goals.
